About us
What Wabi Hotel is
Wabi Hotel is a hotel search engine and guide. We cover Spain, Portugal, Italy and France, with 1,216 destinations with their own page, and in English we start with Spain. The idea is in the name: hotels for a calmer kind of trip, chosen by what the people who have stayed there say.
What you will find here
- The places to stay in each destination, sorted by guest score and number of reviews. No hotel pays to rank higher.
- Our own guides to the best areas to stay and to what to see in each destination.
- Figures for every place, worked out from real data: how many hotels there are, their average score, how many have a pool or allow pets.
- Secure booking and 24/7 support through our booking partner, Nuitee.
Who is behind it
Wabi Hotel is made in Madrid by a small team at Wabiwebs Diseño Web, a company that designs and builds websites. Before this we built tushoteles.es, a Spanish site about hotels and free walking tours, and Wabi Hotel grows out of that work with a simple idea: before looking at prices, know which area to stay in and what past guests think.
We write the guides ourselves, using public data (climate from AEMET and IPMA, hotel prices and occupancy from Spain’s statistics office, beaches from the Spanish environment ministry) and guest reviews. We are not a travel agency: Nuitee handles booking, payment and support, and we earn a small commission that never changes the order of the hotels.
