Location
On a work trip, location matters most: close to the office, the trade fair grounds or a well-connected station. In Madrid and Barcelona there are hotels by the airport and next to the high-speed rail stations that save a lot of time on one-night stays.
What to check before booking
Check that the wifi is free and reliable, whether there is a desk in the room, an early breakfast and meeting rooms. If you need an invoice in your company’s name, ask for it when you book. During big trade fairs, hotels nearby fill up months in advance.
