Fabulous
Comfortable stay in the heart of town
Liked: It's a convenient stay, the 6-bed dorm room is spacious and has reading lamps and sockets for each bunkbed, beds are comfortable and towels and toilet paper are provided. There's a hairdryer in the ladies shower room. I like the homey feel, the old wooden furniture and long kitchen table, where guests can socialise There are also 2 sitting rooms for relaxing alone.
Disliked: It would be nice to have bed curtains for privacy, and to supply cooking essentials in the shared kitchen, e.g. oil, sugar, and coffee/tea, as most travellers are doing the Camino de Santiago and cannot carry these things. The Internet room key takes patience, as it sometimes doesn't open right away
Convenient, comfortable stay in the heart of town
Liked: Nice hostel, conveniently located, and I liked having towels provided at no extra cost.
Disliked: There's no one at reception, everything is online, which makes it impersonal. Nevertheless, the online staff are excellent!
Liked: This is my second stay, and I was upgraded to a lovely room, unsure if it was a mistake, but I was really happy. It's just opposite Gaudi's famous Casa Botines on the2nd floor, with little balconies and spacious rooms. There's a shared kitchen, but be warned there are no condiments or oil. There's some street noise, but I slept well. I like that fluffy towels are provided at no extra cost.
Disliked: Partying going on all night in streets till 4 30 am
Disliked: Difficult to check it. Everything was virtual and their website did not work. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Smelt like cigarette smoke.
Unstaffed and overpriced
Liked: Centrally located in old town, clean bathrooms
Disliked: Most overpriced hostel room I have ever stayed in. There is no staff on-site so if there are problems you have to call some number and wait for someone to get back to you. Someone was in the bed I was assigned to so had to wait around to get resolved. No explanation of how to get inside so I waited half an hour for someone to come out and let me in. Noisy at night since was hot and window was left open.
