  Good location, not the best of stays

  Liked: The location was good, 15 min walk into town. The studio had sufficient kitchen utensils for a short stay, the washing machine was a bonus. Couldn’t fault Kevin, the owner, as we had a few issues during our stay, but he was very responsive and as helpful as he could be 7nder the circumstances.

  Disliked: The area appears to be u down and didn’t feel very safe but it was ok. The apartment wasn’t as clean as it could have been, it was obvious the sofa bed hadn’t been moved in a while as there was lots of debris and dust underneath when you pulled the bed out. The mattress sank in the middle and the mattress topper was covered in stains. We were left with two cracked wine glasses, the shower attachment didn’t hold the shower upright so you had to hand hold it! The flooring showed signs of wear and tear and the cleaning service used didn’t do a very good job. I did inform the owner of all the above and he did say he would take it on board. Unfortunately during our stay the internet didn’t work so we had no internet or TV during our stay, but again the owner was very responsive and offered a refund due to lack of service provided.

  Enjoyed my staying

  Liked: The host is friendly and helpful. I like the studio, you can cook yourself, walking distance to a supermarket. easy walking distance to town centre,(around 10mins) it's a small town anyway. parking space outside if you drive a car. quiet in the evening. suitable for sole traveler or couples

  Disliked: mosquitos, I had 3 bites while I was staying.

  A functional stay

  Liked: This is a functional place to stay, not if you're looking for extreme comfort or pretty surroundings. This is clearly someone's flat and so has everything in that you would expect such as kitchen items, washing machine etc

  Disliked: This is a way from the main area which is not a problem but the property is surrounded by some vacant space with long grasses and bushes etc and this made me personally feel uneasy but not the hosts fault. I personally didn't find the sofa bed comfortable and I couldn't work out how to set it up at first.

  Pretty good

  Liked: Overall good and value for money. Everything you need available at the property and good location.AC was a nice bonus.

  Disliked: Only negative was the mattress for me. It was quite uncomfortable.

  Nice and clean accommodation

  Liked: It is a fairly standard airbnb style accommodation, clean and moderately central - its location is quite close to the town centre (15-20 mins walking) and the area is quite quiet at night. Bergerac is a good base if you are driving to other nearby towns e.g. Saint Émilion, Issigeac, Monbazillac etc. (Shame I didn't drive).

  Disliked: There aren't many shops or facilities around the area (though the historic centre is touristy the region itself is quite provincial) so if you're arriving on the weekend like I did, you would have trouble getting supplies/ limited choices.
