  I don’t know that I would stay there again

  Liked: It was small, but adequate

  Disliked: It was very tricky to get into it. No air conditioning, which I missed. No hot water because apparently you need to turn the hot water heater on yourself. No information explaining this. It was also not really clean. My sheet was dirty.

  Liked: The owner was friendly.

  Disliked: The toilet and the breakfast table are separated by a TRANSPARENT wall. Ideal fr romantic getaways. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, the metal springs were pushing in our backs. The room was so low with heavy beams hanging as low as 1,80 - in the MIDDLE of the room. I had to duck and swerve the entire stay, which was luckily only 1 night. Then 5 minutes before checkout time there was someone knocking on the door pointing at their watch. I was very happy to leave.

  Great wee place for a night or t wo

  Liked: Large room with great kitchen and bathroom facilities.. fridge microwave utensils etc etc. Comfortable bed.. Location good near railway station and 15 min walk to centre of Besancon...worth going!!

  Disliked: Not a big deal but bumper my head on sloping ceiling as was attic room..

  Good location, mediocre facilities, inexpensive, get what you pay for

  Liked: Breakfast n/a. Location was good being close to city centre for access to restaurants. It was in a nice quiet area and there was off street parking for my motorcycle. The host provided a series of photos of how to find the property and key box, and Wi-Fi info was given when I asked.

  Disliked: The apartment was a loft apartment with low ceilings and exposed beams to knock your head on, tall people don’t apply! I found I was having to walk around in a crouch. It was also very dark, not very cheery. The shower was tiny but worked okay, but the shower tray had no edge so water would easily overflow if not careful. The mattress and bedding could do with a refresh. Getting up to the apartment involved climbing 3-4 flights of steep stairs, the last set being very steep. Carrying heavy luggage very difficult and people with mobility issues would find it difficult. Motorcycle users- the parking area is covered in deep gravel and does not support a side stand, you will need a side stand support.
