Guest reviews
Very good
First and last time at Victor Hugo!
Liked: The pool was much needed.
Disliked: There was no aircon. We had a west facing room and the temp inside did not drop below 30deg. One rents a room to get some sleep. This was impossible without aircon. €220 for 2 nites without aircon is ridiculously unacceptable. Have stayed in hundreds of hotels, but never without aircoditioning.
Not great value, convenient location
Liked: Location is great, secure parking.
Disliked: The comfort rooms do not have air conditioning. Only a small fan. With 30C plus it is not enough. We had a very uncomfortable night. Hotel warned us by message. Upgrade would have made the stay too expensive. Bathroom was weird. Sink was placed sideways.
Liked: Manager was really helpful when we had an issue with our room. Although out of the centre there was a lovely restaurant close by if you weren’t up for a walk into the centre
Really enjoyed our stay
Liked: Great location to explore Basancon and safe secure car park. Pool was very good as was very hot when we visited. Staff very helpful and breakfast was very good and well presented
Disliked: Nothing but shower did tend to splash onto bathroom floor
Good for a short stay
Liked: Great to have a pool especially during heatwave
Disliked: Nothing I can think of
Liked: The spa and great air-conditioning in the rooms
Disliked: Nothing
