  This hotel was certainly not in a fit state to be used by residents who, like us had paid premium prices to stay. We ser

  Disliked: Everything. Arrived at reception to a worksite! Workmen, electric cables, ladders in the hall, debris everywhere and cardboard boxes stacked all over the floors. The majority of the only 14 available parking spaces already used by the workmen. Our bedroom was so small that we hardly had any room at either side of the bed or anywhere to put our luggage.

  Disliked: The hotel was being renovated, the reception area was a building site, the room was too small with no separation between the bedroom and bathroom.

  Ok for a stop over and maybe one more night

  Liked: Good sized rooms and bathroom. Free Parking. Staff very helpful. Kettle in room. Great towels. Breakfast was ok.

  Disliked: Breakfast choices a little limited.

  Liked: The room was freshly painted and even though the room was not ready because it had a very strong smell of paint. The staff was aware of the stage of the room and the receptionist still decided to rent this room. The staff never reacted to the requests of the guests.

  Disliked: Everything. It is against health regulations in France to rent a room that it is freshly painted. It can damage your health.

  Smug "jobsworth" assistant

  Liked: The breakfast was good. Six loose leaf teas; no teabags. Fresh bread, cheese, cold meat. Location is also good.

  Disliked: Firstly, the reception assistant. I had intended to collect money from the Western Union facility in town, however they had run out of money. There was only one collection point in the town. The hotel tax was EUR 1.55 My credit card hadn't been activated yet. The hotel tax was EUR 1.55. I had cash in Swiss francs(*) an UK sterling. (*) The town lies on a railway line where Swiss francs are accepted in the bistro. The body language of the reception assistant was such that she seemed to revel in my predicament. I walked out of the hotel for the sake of EUR 1.55. It took some time for me to activate my credit card via calls to the UK. I withdrew cash and returned to the hotel. The lift was uncarpeted. The room had a musty smell.
