Dirty, Unsafe
Liked: The original part of the hotel was nice.
Disliked: Firstly, our was not at the main building but at the rear of the building and only accessible via a small lift. This corridor was infested around the conditioning ceiling hatch with maybe a hundred small cacoons/eggs for moths or fly that were clearly coming from the aircon system feeding the bedrooms. In addition route was the only access, apart from a fire escape to the room. The lift opened to a pitch black corridor which was only lit via movement. The light only stayed in a few seconds before plunging to darkness again if you stopped walking for a few seconds. There was no natural light or aircon in this long corridor. After inspecting the room we decided that we could not stay here for both health and safety reasons. Firstly the obvious lack of cleaning of the aircon and what we may be breathing/ingesting in the night, and If there was a fire or cause to break the electric within the building it seemed almost impossible to navigate a black corridor. We returned to reception and informed them and asked if another room was available. The receptionist said there wasn’t, and she was alone and could not come and see the infestation. She said she would ring the manager/owner but didn’t know when they would be next in. After waiting 30mins and none talking to us, we left and luckily found a cancelled room in a hotel in Calvi.
Liked: Location just beside the citadel and a short walk to centre. Main beach is other side of town but it's a lovely walk via Harbour and streets of the town with shops etc. Cavli is beautiful. The hotel was bright and cool and the room was adequate for our 3 night stay.
Disliked: No pool. But a swimming spot off rocks directly across the road.
Liked: Great position, the room was clean and had a great sea view

Well positioned 4-story,smaller mid-level hotel,well priced
Liked: I ended up extending my stay for a total of 11 nights here in this well-situated hotel,on the edge of this extremely picturesque, historical seaside town. Although my room faced the street and sea- with windows closed there was no sound of traffic noise.Comfortable bed.Strong air con.Thick,heavy curtains blocked all early morning sun. Delightful,cheerful front desk staff. Strong wifi signal.Modern bathroom. Elevator was fast.Never a wait. The main street is a one minute walk away.
Disliked: Breakfast was spartan so I opted out after one day(but to be fair,it's this way most places in Corsica).No refrigerator in room,but again that seems to be standard practice here.
