  Outrageous hidden deposit, refused cancellation within 30 minutes — relieved I never stayed

  Liked: Nothing I can comment on, as I never checked in. The experience with the property's booking and cancellation policies was enough to put me off staying entirely.

  Disliked: I booked this property at around 5 PM for that same night, only to discover an outrageous €1,000 security deposit demanded via WhatsApp. For a one-night stay costing around €190, this is unreasonable. The deposit was so well hidden that even Booking.com's own customer support could not locate it during an hour-long phone call, despite repeatedly directing me to different sections of the listing. They claimed they could see it on their side but couldn't show me where. Meanwhile, the booking information stated that no further payment was required and warned about payment requests through WhatsApp. I requested cancellation just 30 minutes after booking immediately after being asked to pay 1000 euros through WhatsApp. Since I booked for that very same evening, there was effectively no opportunity for me to have caused the property any lost revenue. Nevertheless, the property refused to cancel or refund the booking. In hindsight, I'm glad I never stayed. If the property was this unreasonable despite not losing out on any revenue because of me, I would have been extremely uncomfortable trusting them with a €1,000 deposit and relying on their goodwill to return it. I strongly advise future guests to think carefully before booking.

  Spacious, clean and close to station

  Liked: Was super spacious, clean and close to train station, which is handy if you are arriving by train.

  Disliked: It took a while to check in, filling out details and we had to give a card for 1000 euro deposit check, which was fine cause it didn’t come off my card but just seemed very high for staying one night.

  All great except problematic deposit which is done outside of booking

Late check-in is possible upon request and subject to availability. The following fees will apply:
