Great apartment but beware of the deposit charge

Disliked: I would have rated the place a lot higher as it was a great apartment, but the fact that they take out a €700 deposit for just 2 nights and actually debit your account of that amount instantly is outrageous. Had I stayed a week, I might have understood. So far I have had to ask twice for the money to be refunded since I checked out and I am still waiting. In comparison, I stayed in a different accommodation in the region who whilst they also requested a deposit, only asked to have the bank card on file and didn't debit my account. They would only use the deposit money if there was damage to the property. Whilst the apartments are excellent, I feel like they need to be a lot clearer on the fact that the deposit does get debited at check in. €700 is a huge amount:-(

Beautiful apartment building a few steps from Cassis set in lovely grounds

Liked: The property is in a great location just a short 5 minute walk from the town centre. The apartment was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and very clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely swimming pool and the parking was convenient which is a huge bonus given that Cassis is not an easy place to find parking

Disliked: There was only one thing I didn't like which is that both me and my husband were bitten by mosquitoes. I think this has been a very bad year for them. This wouldn't put me off staying here, but I would advise anyone visiting to use mosquito spray when going outside, and to burn electric mosquito tablets inside the apartment.
