  Cheap, cold, rather dirty

  Liked: It’s a good location close to the tram and the room is big with a view on a garden. The WiFi worked fine

  Disliked: When I arrived there were no towels in my room and the receptionist was already gone so I could not ask for them. Next day there were towels but no shampoo. Something in the building makes loud noises, I think the pipes, which kept me awake at night. The heating didn’t work and the water in the shower was not hot. The shower curtain was moldy and the apartment was dusty and not clean

  Castle vibes close to the city center

  Liked: The building is very nice, it kept the old charm, the rooms are tall, we felt like we were in a castle. The AC was strong, we wouldn't have expected such good quality in this hotel. Walking distance from the center too, we recommend it

  Recommended

  Liked: Great hotel, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. The rooms are slightly dated, but the building itself is beautiful. Good breakfast. Parking in the area is difficult, so I would recommend parking outside the city centre or using a private car park.

  Very comfortable small hotel

  Liked: It’s in an old mansion. I really liked the atmosphere.

  Liked: quite location and the staff was helpful

  Disliked: The stairs were narrow and a bit steep, and there was no elevator. I knew the facilities might be quite basic, but I didn't expect them to be this limited, there wasn't even any hand soap in the bathroom. The wardrobe was also very thin and felt like it might fall apart.

  Liked: Montpelier is a beautiful city. One of the best in France, in my opinion. The hotel is located in a rich neighbourhood close to the centre.

  Disliked: It's a bit old-fashioned. Just slightly different vibe, more Greek than French.
