Liked: Super hotel near historic City center
Lovely stay
Liked: The hotel is a family favourite. Very central yet quiet at night. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, Historic Alghero, and harbour. Welcoming lobby and welcoming staff. The staff are always happy and eager to help and support. Very friendly yet discreet atmosphere. Clean rooms, everything we need is available. Breakfast offers sweet and savoury options. Good hot drinks.
Disliked: Nothing. One suggestion perhaps: mattress toppers and memory foam pillows, for added comfort.
Excellent location, very clean, partially renovated dated building
Liked: Great location, just 5 min walk from the city walls. Loads of shops nearby. A COOP supermarket just across the road. Very clean throughout: reception, hallways, rooms, breakfast room. Exceptional views from the breakfast/ bar room on the 5th floor, looking right at the sea and Capo Caccia. A balcony runs around the breakfast room and you can have your breakfast there as well. The 6th floor is an outside fake grass sunbathing roof top with 360 degrees view. In the rooms, mattresses and pillows are comfy, there's a mini fridge, the air con unit works well. There are two large modern lifts. The rooms are cleaned daily with toiletries replaced and beds made for you. There is enough storage in the wardrobe, a safe (which we haven't used) and a TV. The shower has very good water pressure. The breakfast offer is adequate, with continental buffet style. Staff are helpful; 24hrs reception. Overall it was a very pleasant 4 nights stay and we'd be delighted to return. The price was good for the service we got.
Disliked: Excluding the 5th floor which is recently renovated ( or possibly added to the original structure), the rest of the building is quite old looking, not as in ancient but as dated. 50's reddish furniture at reception, with same age tiles in the halls, internal/ rooms doors all from the same period. Faded green curtains and discoloured furniture in the rooms, with manually-operated roller shutters do not leave a great first impression. The bathrooms are just as dated and not too comfy: we had a smallish old style shower, with a step corner entrance, leaking a bit through the doors when in fucntion. There's a step to get in the bathroom, Plumbing for individual rooms must have been added In the 80s, shared facilities might have been the original set up, thus the step between room and bathroom. Old style hotel wall-fitted hair dryers are provided which are very ineffective. I don't know if there are any new accessible rooms, but ours would have been no good to someone with limited mobility. For the Brits and Irish used to a kettle with tea/coffee: that isn't provided. There is no noise insulation so you hear anything from top floor, side rooms and outside.

Liked: Great location.Close to Old Town and 10 minute walk from bus station.Staff was friendly.The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Very well-located, but outdated and some issues with odors throughout the building
Liked: The location is great (walkable to the city center) and there is ample street parking nearby. The rooftop terrace is very nice with a beautiful view. The staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast is also very good.
Disliked: There is an odor in the hallways and the rooms are very outdated. It was okay for a quick stay, but the property would benefit from renovation.
