  Passable

  Liked: The host was very friendly and helpful, has sent us a lot of videos on how to get to the property and other helpful details about the place. He has also informed us about laundry service that we used a few times to dry our stuff after swimming. We were also able to check in much earlier that expected that was super helpful. The location was amazing.

  Disliked: The smell and the noise. The whole apartment was smelling really bad of mold and mildew - the air, walls, bed sheets, towels. The smell of badly ventilated moldy air was driving us crazy, I personally wasn’t able to sleep normally the first night because of the odor. I know that this can be a problem for old buildings and humid areas but the fact that apartment had two tiny windows up by the ceiling definitely didn’t help. The towels in fact smelled so bad that i used paper towels instead. The apartment is situated on the narrow street, every little noise is heard like it is happening right in front of your ears. We were woken up several times in the middle of the night and in the early morning by people who were walking by and talking or babies crying and kids screaming and running. Without any exaggeration we felt like we were sleeping on the street, there was absolutely zero noise cancellation. The conditioner made a lot of different and really loud noises and was super old, because of that we weren’t able to keep that on during the night, the sound was just too loud to sleep with. At one point it just stopped working altogether and started blowing hot air, the host said to switch it off and on again, but it did nothing. The apartment didn’t have any kind of drying or heating things like small radiators or heated towel rails that you usually find in hotel bathrooms. Seems like a very small nuance, but it would be crucial to have that to dry our swimsuits because in that humid of air it is impossible to dry anything and it just starts smelling like mildew. Because of that we had to use paid laundry service. And on top of all of that we were charged twice the amount of city tax. Booking had one number and our host sent us receipt for twice the amount saying that booking registered wrong amount. I don’t know whose fault that truly was, but it definitely wasn’t our problem but we were the ones who were charged more money.
