Fabulous
Beautiful sea views, authentic Italian charm, and lots of stairs!
Liked: We really enjoyed the location, within walking distance of the centre of Amalfi, with its restaurants, shops, and lively atmosphere. The highlight of the property was definitely the terrace, with its beautiful views of the sea. It was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The host was very friendly, helpful, and always prompt in responding to our messages. We also appreciated the authentic character of the house. Staying in an old Italian home added a special charm to our Amalfi Coast experience.
Disliked: One thing to be aware of is the number of stairs! There are approximately 250 steps to reach the property, which can be quite challenging, especially if you're carrying large suitcases. The house is an authentic older property, and although some improvements have been made, it lacks certain modern comforts. The shower is very small, the doors and floors are squeaky, and the kitchen has only basic utensils, which could be limiting if you plan to do much cooking. That being said, these imperfections are also part of the charm of staying in a century-old Italian home. Another interesting thing we noticed was the temperature difference between the terrace and the town below. Because of the elevation, it could feel noticeably different up at the property compared to the piazza or the beach. Overall, it's a charming place with wonderful views, but visitors should be prepared for the stairs and a more rustic experience rather than modern hotel-style comfort.
Beautiful, splendid and thankful to have been able to experience Atrani, a Unesco Heritage location
Liked: The property felt like home away from home. The reception of Maddalena was very courteous and friendly.
Disliked: We loved it and even became friends with the stairs. Having luggage you can carry on your back makes it easier to climb the steps unless you opt for porter service.
Lovely hill top views, a good base
Liked: Loved the view and it was spacious downstairs with a nice balcony, Atrani village V nice
Disliked: Beds a bit hard, not especially clean in some areas, iron and ironing board were in a bit of a state and not very effective, could do with some modernisation
Liked: Huge apartment and a truly breathtaking view from the terrace! The space was great for our group of 4. Very glad we chose to stay in Atrani over any other town on the coast. Just a 15min walk to Amalfi and there is also an elevator from Atrani down to the Amalfi pedestrian tunnel which was amazing! The apartment was worth it for the value, space, and views.
Disliked: The shower was a big issue for us and needs a lot of attention. The shower head was broken and spraying water out of the shower and all over the washing machine, ceiling, and floor. There was pealing paint and lots of mold. A lot of time was spent mopping up the bathroom after every shower. Additionally the wifi was not very good. Only 1 or 2 people could be connected at one time. Again the apartment was still worth it for the value, space, and terrace views!
Very relaxing break in a great location with a large comfortable space
Liked: Fabulous location amazing views - very good size with a terrace - host was in touch and very friendly.
Disliked: No signal on tv and poor WiFi (which was due to be updated during the stay but company could not find apartment) Could benefit with having loungers for the terrace and replacing kitchen knives with sharper ones
Very good
