Good
Meh, run like a cheap hostel
Liked: Despite all the steps (It's Amalfi, after all!) the location couldn't be beat. It's close to the piazza, the restaurants, the port and the station. The room had more closet and storage space than any other place we stayed in the area. The view from the little balcony included the duomo, the cliffs, the port and sea. There's a lot of traffic noise, but that is par for the region.
Disliked: This was the most unwelcoming staff of any we have encountered in the area. From the beginning, all communication was in the tone of an angry auntie who didn't want us there but couldn't say no to our coming. From the initial email to ALL the signage posted in the rooms: "Don't do this, Don't do that, Don't ask for the other, We're only doing this service between these hours or we will charge you." The breakfast was acceptable, but definitely the most "Meh" of our entire visit. The one concession was that they would make you coffee. One of the staff never once looked up from her phone over five days. We switched to this place so that we could be closer in town, and it was priced higher than our other bookings, but it was the most disappointing of them all. The irony is that they proudly display their 8.5 rating from 2015 in the lobby next to yet another sign prohibiting something. Despite the private room and ensuite and price, the feeling of the place is that of a cheap hostel. Actually, we have been in cheap hostels that were more welcoming.
Liked: Its very close to the city center. It quite loud though with the motorcycles or vehicles in the area

Disliked: It’s old, it smells like fungus and terrible humidity, terrible noise, the air conditioning doesn’t cool, the shower is broken, and the mattress is very old and uncomfortable, and most importantly there is no balcony on the standard room like you guys advertise online, I booked a standard room with a balcony and I got a room without one, and very bad customer service as well

Liked: Good location nice view from terrace. Continental breakfast good variety. Kettle in room was good. Help with suitcases was greatly appreciated
Disliked: Wifi absolutely shocking. The room we had was separated from another room by a door so we heard everything. The shower in the bath wasn’t good there was no room and the hose keeps hitting you.
Liked: Perfect location for me.
Disliked: Defective shower, failing wifi.
