Fabulous
Easy and Affordable
Liked: Terrace had a beautiful view and the location was only a 10-15 minute walk to Amalfi which is very good considering the price. Easy beach access and several places to eat and shop in the surrounding. Cool house layout and has all the necessities you need.
Disliked: Wifi only works in the living room and the single beds are not the most comfortable but these were minor.
Superb
Liked: Sun terrace, easy access to local services in Atrani
Disliked: The number of steps -118 to get to the apartment, not good to get your luggage up/down
Charming apartment in a small and personal village with an easy walk to Amalfi
Liked: Beautiful location. So much charm and easy check in.
Disliked: A lot of steps, but we knew before we booked.
Our hosts were amazing and we will always remember our first time in beautiful Atrani!
Liked: Spacious accommodation in a beautiful location.
Only stay here if nothing else available
Liked: The location is the only positive for this accommodation!!
Disliked: Communication was lacking, never a quick response. On day of arrival they told us we would be met by Melania at Atrani Square. We kept them updated on our arrival time, only to arrive and be left wondering for 10 minutes if we were in the right spot as no one came to meet us. Finally the girl standing straight in front of us for 10 minutes talking to a friend, came over and introduced herself as Melania. She said she would show us to our accommodation. She walked us into the accommodation and showed us where everything was. We found her to be very rude and unfriendly...not a great start to our holiday in Amalfi coast. She pointed to the washing machine and made a point of not knowing how to use it. Said she would send us the instructions, but never sent them. Then showed us the stovetop, and told us we would have to use our own lighter. I told her I don't have a lighter and don't know where to get one. She told me to go and buy one. I told her the accommodation mentioned it came with a stovetop, and that should include the lighter to use it. She told me if it was a problem that she would give me one euro to buy one. She walked out and angrily spoke to someone on the phone, then came back with a used lighter. After she left, we sat on the lounge, but the lounge and cushions were really wet. Not knowing what from, we decided just to use the kitchen chairs instead. The beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable and hardest we have ever slept on!! The hot water does not accommodate for four people having showers. The key into accommodation can sometimes take a few minutes to get it to work.
A fairly decent space in great little town
Liked: We were met in Piazza Umberto 1 and shown up to the apartment by a nice girl. It is about 120 steps up. The apartment is pleasant enough and has nice views of the sea and the town. The apartment is quirky - (unusual because you enter on a sort of mid-level floor and there are a couple of steps up to the bedroom area and a few down to the living room/kitchen/bathroom) and it's bright with high ceilings and tall windows. It is only a minute's walk down the steps to the piazza, where there are several cafes/restaurants and a couple of small shops, and onward out to the beach. The town is pretty quiet and so it's a restful apartment. We slept well. Some reviewers here said that the bed was hard. It is but that's better for your back. Atrani is a great little town. The people are lovely and everyone says "Buongiorno" as you pass. The restaurants/cafes are excellent with very friendly staff.
Disliked: The apartment doesn't have a balcony. It is necessary, and tiresome to go upstairs onto the roof terrace if you intend dining or drinking al fresco (we were told that people from another apartment can come up there too, although we didn't encounter anyone for the week we were there). There are a couple of things in the apartment that need attention. The drainage needs to be looked at. There is a basin under the bathroom sink-trap which can smell a bit - we left the bathroom door open and it wasn't too bad. The flooring, while okay in the living room and bedrooms, is unsuitable for bathroom and kitchen as it is lifting where it gets wet. The other disadvantage is that the bathroom is quite small so, you have to get dressed in the living room where the wardrobes are. Minor gripes but they need attention. Other than that the apartment was fine for a week.
