Accommodation did not match booking description. Certainly not good value for money. Disappointing

Liked: The location was great. The hosts were friendly enough when we had contact. The pool was good in general.

Disliked: Our booking stated that we had the entire villa to ourselves. That was the reason we booked it and accepted the price. On arrival we were put into 2 apartments (not interlinked) on the 1st floor. The owners lived on the ground floor of the main house, including the covered terrace overlooking the pool - this terrace was not available for our use. The pool area was also in use by the owners on occasions when we returned from outings. If we had known this in advance and the price position had been corresponding, this would have been ok. However this is not what we had booked. The house rules were more restrictive than those listed on Booking: No visitors allowed, pool use only between certain times. The crockery and utensils in the kitchen were damaged and not sufficient to properly cater for the family (paid guests staying there) - adults were eating breakfast cereals from children’s bowls that we had brought with us. The oven was dirty.
