Liked: We loved staying at Dolomites Inn. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. Great location for hiking. Nice and clean rooms. Very calm and quiet during the night.

Liked: Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Dolomites Inn was a real disappointment, particularly given that we paid around £90 for one night. The location was undoubtedly the hotel’s biggest redeeming feature, but beyond that, we felt the overall experience fell well short of expectations and simply wasn’t good value for money.
Disliked: We stayed in Room 103, which was incredibly tired and dilapidated. The room felt as though it was in desperate need of a full renovation, and several aspects made the stay uncomfortable. The double bed was actually two single beds pushed together, meaning we repeatedly found ourselves falling into the gap between them during the night. The shower head was also genuinely grim and certainly not what you would expect from accommodation at this price point. Breakfast was another major letdown. Unfortunately, the quality was very poor and did little to improve our overall impression of the hotel. We also found the approach from reception regarding dinner reservations quite uncomfortable. We were repeatedly pushed to book dinner despite making it clear several times that we weren’t interested. While we appreciate that hotels want to promote their restaurant, guests should feel that their decision has been respected rather than having to repeatedly decline the same offer. Ultimately, the location was the only real positive for us. For the £90 we paid, we expected a considerably better standard of room, cleanliness and overall experience. In our opinion, this accommodation would have been much more appropriately priced in the £40–£50 range, rather than what we actually paid. With significant investment in the rooms, improvements to the breakfast and a less pushy approach towards guests, there is potential here, particularly given the location. However, based on our experience in Room 103, we unfortunately couldn’t consider this good value for money and would be unlikely to return.
