Exceptional
Liked: The room and porch on 3rd floor right on the sea!! Great sunsets! The room large and cozy the hot tub.. Alfonso was there for us. The well equiped kitchen for all the guests was a place to meet people. Parking in the gated area

Liked: We stayed in the Vesuvio room, which was a single room with private bathroom and a terrace. Our unobstructed view of the entire bay (including Mt. Vesuvius) was incredible. We had a mini fridge and a small coffee pot available, and we had access to more cooking items in the shared kitchen. My wife and I shared the large bed and there was a single bed set up for my son in the room. It’s a 5 minute walk from multiple free beaches and a boardwalk. The host, Alfonso, is incredible and goes above and beyond to guarantee a great stay. It’s good to know that the property has several rooms available to rent, so a group could easily rent out this space and still have privacy in their rooms. We had AC that worked great. In our bathroom, there was a jet tub with a hose attached to a sprayer, but not a full-on shower. We were close to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius using the Circumvesuviana train, and took that from/to Venice on our travel days into and out of the area. The location is wonderful, and I will stay at this property when I am back in the area. I will also recommend it to friends who are considering traveling to this part of Italy.
Disliked: The property itself was great. The things I didn’t like so much are not things the host can change, and I only list here so one staying at the property understands these relevant factors as part of the travel. I would have used the full sized kitchen more, but the people who rented out the rest of the space had taken it over and it felt a little awkward when we were all there if we wanted to eat at the table, as our space didn’t have room for a table and chairs—but we did have one on our balcony so we did use that. This could be particular to our stay and those using the property at the same time, and I acknowledge that there are cultural norms different than my own at play here. The Circumvesuviana train that we relied on for our travel from and back to Naples can be difficult. It can be late, is often full, sometimes AC and sometimes not, so be prepared for that. The station that’s most convenient and easy for this property is a 15-20 minute walk via the boardwalk by the sea-beautiful, but can feel long and hot after a long day in Pompeii or Herculaneum, and with luggage, but it’s definitely doable for those of average ability and the walk itself is beautiful.
Liked: Great location on the beach of Castellammare di Stabia with big room and comfortable bed... you can hear the relaxing sound of the sea waves breaking from the room.Room had balcony to the sea and air conditioning.Alfonso the owner is very hospitable and very helpful.You can park the car in the secure yard of the apartment building for an extra fee.In the street is hard to find parking and it costs like 1 euro/hour.Location is 5 minutes walk to the main promanade and beach of Castelammare di Stabia and 10 min to the port where the expensive yahts,small fishing boats plud the car and passenger ferries dock.Good Breakfast was included by the host and left for us in the kitchen fridge with variety of sliced cheese,bread and butter,sweets,muffins,local ham and salami coffee machine,water,juice.There is also a toast machine,dishwasher and gas stove in the kitchen.Great value for the price paid.

Liked: Amazing views of the sea and Mount Vesuvius! Room was very clean, with our own bathroom, plenty of storage and air conditioning! The kitchen was shared but there was only one other couple staying there who were really nice, most of the time it felt like we had a whole large flat to ourselves!

Liked: Fantastic view and excellent hospitality! Alfonso (our host) was amazing and helped us to book the cruise to Amalfi coast and checked on us everyday to ensure we were getting on well. Castellamare is in between Pompeii and Sorrento, but less expensive making it a great option to visit either places. The room itself would open to the sounds of beach and stunning views on either sides, including Mount Vesuvius. Highly recommended!
