Liked: The breakfasts were fantastic, so much selection and open until 12. They are wonderful hosts who clearly care about their guests.
Disliked: Some air conditioning in the gym room would be a bonus.
A really lovely independent hotel
Liked: I stayed here with my teenage daughter for a few nights in August, their busiest season. Having said that the hotel never seemed busy! I know everyone mentions the great breakfast but it truly is exceptional! A huge choice of both savory and sweet dishes, and breakfast is served until 12.00pm. The trays are ALWAYS replenished, I can safely say this as I went for a very late breakfast at 11.30am and as well as nothing missing they were still making fresh crepes and cutting fresh prosciutto! The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The pool area is also great, a dip in the pool is extremely refreshing. Finally a special mention has to go to the room itself. Bathroom is modern, clean and spacious. The mattress is fabulous! A proper sprung mattress that is super comfy, two choices of pillows and no plastic accessories anywhere (Bruno Barbieri would be proud!)
