Fabulous
Everything we needed, and a great host!
Liked: Lovely property, with excellent rooms and bathrooms, very spacious. Host was very helpful and generous. Everything you need, from a washing machine and dishwasher, to a decent iron and hairdryers. We loved having en suite full bathrooms on each room. Bathrooms renovated to a high standard. There is both a Nespresso machine and drip coffee machine (for those of you who like to make sure you know what coffee you're getting!) The property is up several steep hills, so you need to be prepared to walk up high.
Disliked: Very minor, but we would have enjoyed a comfortable sofa/couch to relax on in the living area. There were chairs, but they were not made for relaxing.
Liked: Had a washing machine
Disliked: There are 4 photos of a pool on booking.com. There is no pool. We wouldn’t have booked had we known this
Love the property and Cortona
Liked: It was a unique interesting property. Clean and updated. Gaetano our host was helpful with explaining the area and providing a list of restaurants.
Disliked: In order to get to the property from the city center the walk up was challenging.
No swimming pool and no windows
Liked: Nicely presented apartment
Disliked: We had been on the road for 7 weeks and wanted somewhere to kick back a bit, so when we saw the headline - "apartment with infinity pool and village views,"we booked for 2 nights. Howevere we discovered that there is no swimming pool ( the pool is a public pool 1.5km away), and there are no windows in this apartment. When raising this with the host, he pointed out that it was in the fine print - this was very deceptive, and we tried to cancel our second night (too late for first night)
We had a trip and stayed in different locations all over Tuscany. This one was by far the best!
Liked: Attention to detail. The fountain in the room!!! The hospitality of the owner. Simply everything!
A must see and stay house
Liked: A incredible house with ancient artifacts and also very modern ones: from the Roman well in the bedroom to the space shuttle ceramic tiles on the wall. It’s a definitely unique place, perfect for couple of days in the beautiful city of Cortona.
