  Loved it

  Liked: Breakfast was excellent, enough to carry us to lunch without needing a snack. Location is very good, on a quiet side street. The restaurant is also excellent for an evening meal!

  Lovely stay in Cortona

  Liked: The room was large and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and they made very good espresso! We liked the location, it’s just a few minutes walk to the main piazza. We would recommend the Dolce Maria.

  Beautiful lodging, great location, wonderful host (Paola)

  Liked: Paola, the host, was just wonderful! So kind and friendly. She checked us in even though we were early. The room was large and beautiful, spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water. Wonderful breakfast buffet with cornetti, cappuccinos, yogurt, home-made preserves, bread, meats and cheeses, and juice. Great location, just a short walk from the Piazzale di Mercati parking lot. Our first morning we needed to leave early, before the buffet opened at 8:30. Paola met us as we were leaving, and I explained why we wouldn't be able to have breakfast, but she asked us how much time we had, and then insisted on serving us some cappuccinos and cornetti and juice right then.

  Disliked: It was very warm during our stay--although there was an air-conditioner, we didn't have a remote to turn it on.
