Home away from home
Liked: Beautiful, well maintained, peaceful property. Nice breakfast to start your day. Close to all sites in tuscany.
Disliked: No cloth dryer. Must hang clothing. Hope it doesn't rain.

Disliked: Check out at 10am is a bit too early and uncalled for.
This is my eighth visit and certainly not my last.I always love staying here
Liked: The breakfast is wonderful.A vast choice of options and all healthy and homemade.The summer fruit compote is delicious and there are many high protein foods to choose from which provides a good start to the day.
Disliked: Perhaps some ancient grain breads or brown bread options.The croissants are amazingly fresh and tasty.
A wonderful stay in a magical monastery! Not to be missed if you're in Cortona!
Liked: Our whole experience at Monastero San Silvestro was better than we could ever have imagined! We were in touch with Christian on the day of our arrival to let him know when we would arrive and the check-in process was very quick and smooth. If we had any questions at all, we could WhatsApp Christian and he would reply. The accommodation is beautiful (better than the photos!) We were give a one bedroom, first floor apartment and it was lovely... Very rustic, but with all the modern conveniences we needed (air con, wifi, TV, microwave and hairdryer). The bed was really comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was invigorating! The setting is wonderful and we were glad we brought our swimming costumes as the swimming pool was great (very clean and not too cold!) The cherry on top was the breakfast, served between 08:00 and 10:00, a buffet style breakfast is laid out with cereals, pastries, cheese and meats, plus fruit and yoghurt - everything was delicious! We really cannot recommend Monastero San Silvestro highly enough! If you're going to be in the Cortona area, you'll regret not staying here!
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing not to like! If I had to say one thing... if you have an elderly person in your party, try to request accommodation on the ground floor as the steps are old monastery steps and may be difficult for elderly people who are not firm on their feet. For everyone else, it's just a lovely part of the monastery to experience!
