  Basic house, nice view but overpriced and offers no privacy!

  Liked: The pictured (secondary) terrace which is kind of detached from the house is the best thing about the house. Very nice view. Location is very close to a small beach and 5 minute drive to the main beach. We were offered a parking pass for the city which was very convenient.

  Disliked: You have to park on the main street and walk to the house through a very steep and broken street. And then you walk through a garden that is shared by 2 other houses that are relatives of the landlord. The main terrace that has a table and seating in front of the house, and the house itself offers absolutely no privacy. You are not within hearing distance you are within touching distance of neighbors. At this price range the house should be upgraded a bit and have some amenities at welcome, like a bottle of water or some snacks or coffee but it was absolutely bare. There was only toilet paper, basic soap and nothing else.

  Disappointing

  Liked: Great location, close to the beach and beautiful view of the sea.

  Disliked: We wonder why there is no comments from previous rentals.Information / images in the advertisement do not correspond to reality. 1. The furniture in the main picture does not exist, in addition, the part of the terrace belongs to the house next door with which we also shared the plot. The landlord's family lives there. We lived close. All communal outdoor areas are divided between 3 homes on the same plot. 2. There was no barbecue equipment, it was stated in the advertisement. 3. the toilet seat fell off the corroded rusty hinges on arrival. 4. We struggled with large amounts of ants, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. Ants crawled into food cupboards and dry goods had to be thrown away. We ended up having dinner out, when the problem became too intense. Even after we bought ant powder to put out by moldings and door frames. 5. Glassware, cutlery and kitchen drawers were not properly cleaned on arrival. 6. Spot lights in the bathroom and by the kitchen did not work. 7. The hairdryer in the bathroom was melted. 8. The cupboard hinge for the washing up cupboard was broken, we had to prop up the cupboard in an alternative way to put in the dishes. 9. The advertisement says free toiletries, there was only hand soap in the bathroom. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and we felt the host was very nonchalant when we contacted him on arrival with problems we experienced. The host did nothing to remedy the problems with the toilet seat, ant problems or anything else and said he had forgotten to update the ad on Booking.com regarding the lack of equipment on the property. If you want to live close to 2 other families on the same property who have full view of you from morning to night, this place may suit. We don't think it was as expected.

  Idyllic retreat

  Liked: Ideal, well - equipped little beach house, close to a small, sandy beach and with its own rocky access to the sea. Really clean. Beautiful views. Loved the converted WW2 anti-aircraft position sun terrace! Historic Gaete a comfortable walk. Hosts particularly nice and helpful.

  Disliked: Parking was on the main road. This was fine as the area is safe and quiet. The path down to the property and therefore up to the car is a bit steep and uneven so the less luggage you have, the better.
