  Worst value for money accomodation on Lampedusa

  Liked: The location might be suitable for someone. It was further away from the city centre so it was calm there. On the other hand, everything was far away because of this, the city and nicer beaches were definitely not within walking distance. The staff was quite nice (or at least was not rude) and tried to be accommodating despite the language barrier.

  Disliked: Everything else. I spent 3 months on Lampedusa and changed several accommodations and this was the worst of all. Starting with the non-transparent pricing, when they asked me on the spot in cash for 100 € for final cleaning and utilities, although I had already paid another 50 € for final cleaning and utilities when I paid in advance. Furthermore, extremely uncomfortable spring bed, walls so thin that I could hear (literally) every fart of my neighbours. Broken equipment in the apartment: the air conditioner controller with a broken display (which was not surprising given it was in a holder that it didn't fit), a lightswitch cover that fell off when I touched it, musty smelling air conditioner, cockroaches and ants on the floor. And also no wifi and very poor mobile signal. Don't get me wrong, the accommodation was livable, but when you consider the price of 150€/night, the value for money is absolutely insanely bad.
