Fine accommodations, bad check-in process and communications
Liked: Location was convenient in relation to the ferry fort, which was my main priority. It was clean, well air-conditioned and comfortable.
Disliked: The check in process was really bad. The booking.com page gave me the wrong address (they have two properties, I think, and the booking.com listing had the main address, while my accommodations were two doors down). No one communicated this to me, so I was stuck outside trying to get into the wrong building. No one was there to help me in person (which they also did not communicate). Ultimately, I had to turn my phone on, use data from my cell phone provider, and make an international phone call in order to find someone to assist me, all to find out, I just needed to go two doors down. If they had communicated all this prior to my arrival, it would have been smooth and easy, and I'd have given a good review, but they need to be better about communicating the check-in process, especially if they don't have anyone onsite working there. For a place that deals with foreign travelers all the time, this was very disappointing.
Excellent 1 night stopover
Liked: Great location for our needs. Close to ferries to Aeolian islands. The owner was very helpful and communicative in the days before we arrived.
Disliked: We only stayed 1 night. If we had the choice, a later check out time would have made it perfect.

Liked: Highly recommended! We chose this place for its convenient location - close to a bus stop from Catania Airport and near the hydrofoil terminal. Communication was excellent: I informed the owner about our late arrival and they promptly provided all the necessary details to access the property. They also kindly arranged an early breakfast for us, which was lovely - plenty of options and great coffee. The ladies we met were very kind, welcoming, and attentive.
Disliked: My mistake I didn’t check before booking … there isn’t the lift, we had to carry our heavy luggage upstairs. It wasn’t a huge problem to be honest, we managed:)
I was content
Liked: The breakfast was OK. The lady at the breakfast was very rude. She asked me to sit in a place I did not want to sit.
Disliked: No one was at the desk when I arrived. The keys were at the desk. A very nice gentleman helped me. He called the reception and he spoke Italian that the room was next door. The room was very nice. Everything was clean.
