Exceptional
I went there for the second time, just to explain how I liked this house
Liked: everything
It was ok, but probably would not book again or recommend to others
Liked: There was lots of space. The appartment was in a really convienent area. The outlook was amazing. The washing machine worked well (once I used google translate to work out how it worked) Aircon was great.
Disliked: The only sofa was in the kitchen, it was very uncomfortable, when looked under the cover, it was a very old sprung mattress. The chairs in the dining room were also very old and we needed to put cushions on them. The main bed, where we slept was comfortable, but was raised off the floor, making it difficult to get on or off, especially in the middle of the night. The shower was small and had lots of limescale on the tray and dirty tiles. The shower rose was average. The second bathroom/laundry was ok but no toilet seat. Toiletries in the bathrooms were empty. The fridge broke down and required a technician to attend and a small table top fridge was given to us. Kitchen although was clean, it was old and tired.
If you want to understand better the spirit of the town, this is a good place
Liked: It is a real old Sicilian apartment in old town, with all the atmosphere and the energy of a place where a family lived for a long time. You can feel at home.
Exceptional
Liked: This sure is something else, like stepping in your beloved great-grandmother's villa - in the best possible sense of the word. Hard to beat.
Disliked: For obvious reasons, house is not easily heatable in winter months, despite hosts' best efforts.
Insanely huge terrace, really quiet apartment, beautiful cute Modica
Liked: One of the most spectacular properties you can stay in. The house is hauntingly quiet but really, the main selling point, is the absolutely enormous terrace. It received the sun all day long and was so peaceful and relaxing. A stunning apartment.
Disliked: I loved everything about it because it has a really old lived-in feel to it. It is absolutely not modern so if you are looking for that, it wont be for you. But if you like something more authentic and real, this place is perfect.
Very spacious well located apartment
Liked: The host was very friendly. The apartment is huge with a large terrace with a lovely view.
