  Villa Alchea is a wonderful place to stay in Modica with very generous hosts

  Liked: This Villa was immaculate and spacious with beautiful antique furniture. Our hosts were extremely kind and generous with great suggestions to eat out. It is not in the historical part of Modica but that is only 10 minutes drive away. We wished we had more time there. A highlight of our 4 weeks in Italy.

  A peaceful and beautiful base for exploring the region

  Liked: Beautiful historic house with exceptionally helpful, kind and welcoming owners who made us feel at home from the start. It is a great base for a longer stay, with the nearest beaches around 15 minutes away by car and all the beautiful Baroque towns within easy reach. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and not touristy, which we really appreciated. It is also a very good place for families, including those travelling with several children. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!

  Liked: We had a really good time here! Anna and her husband had been really helpful, even though we arrived late and contacted them not quite advanced. The villa is really authentic and lovely decorated. The garden is huge but we didn’t have enough time to explore. Will definitely want to stay again next time.

  Breathtaking

  Liked: The most lovely host family you will ever find. From the point of arrival it was a pleasant atmosphere, friendly communication and the place itself is breathtaking: a building in baroque style, high ceiling, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Highly recommended to stay with Anna and her family.

  Great place to stay in south Sicily

  Liked: We loved our sejour at the Villa Alchea. This beautiful old and stylish house have been fully renovated and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. It's so quiet that it's hard to believe that you are ideally located in Modica. It was a perfect location to explore other cites like Ragusa, Noto, Sciclic and Syracrusa. Anna, our host made wonderful recommendations for restaurants, local markets and whatever else we needed to know. A very lovely and gracious host! Could not have been nicer.

  Home away from home

  Liked: We enjoyed our stay a lot. The home, the garden, the amenities, the peace and quiet while at the same time being close to beaches and all of southern Sicily. Anna and her husband helped us feel right at home. The villa had everything you would need for either a short or a longer stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely try to come back for another visit. Thank you for having us!
