  My excellent choice for accommodation in Otranto

  Liked: - the facilities in the room: the room has all I need. - the size of the room and bathroom; - location: close to the beach, close to the big supermarket, close to the restaurants and old town - comfortable bed and pillows. - the view from the room.

  Modern and welcoming

  Liked: Very modern apartment with a large sunny veranda. Antonio was a very friendly host who provided a lot of info about the area. In an excellent location in Otranto. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay.

  Disliked: Nothing, it was lovely.

  Very good

  Liked: Close to everything, view of water from deck, bed was good, pillows were not. Apartment was very nice and comfortable, clean and mostly newly renovated.

  Disliked: Stove top and oven were good, but lacking various pieces of cooking equipment (no chopping block or knives, pots and pans were old (thrift store quality) and insufficient, no cork screw, cutlery was adequate. So remodel was very nice, but not well equipped. Had to go buy toilet paper for our short stay.

  It was OK

  Liked: Property located about 10 mins walk from the train station, 5 mins from a big parking and, what is more important, 30 seconds from the seaside and 1 min from the beach. It was clean, I guess new, felt safe and had washing machine although I did not use it.

  Disliked: The name of the property is certainly misleading, should be called "balcony with seaview":) The apartment itself faces a small street with quite a lot of traffic on it, and all what you can see from inside is an opposite building. Only the side of the balcony (for 2 small chairs and a table faces the sea. Kitchenette is quite small and there is no space for cutting or preparing anything but the dining table, the only other surfaces are kitchen sink and the stove. Even the cutlery was on a wall shelf on the other side of the room, there was no place for them inside the kitchen cabinet. No condiments or anything else was inside, it is not compulsory of course, but is often nice to have a bit of tea, salt, etc. No wine glasses either... Another detail that was kind of strange was complete absence of hooks or any arrangements for towels or clothes or luggage in the room or in the bathroom, I ended up hanging the towels on the door handle. One last problem was that some electronic thingy was placed high on the wall, and it had quite bright green light on it -- so bright, it made the room not completely dark, instead it was slightly weirdly greenish. No way to reach it or turn it off, it was kind of tough to sleep if one needs darkness for sleeping comfortably. PS. After writing this review, I got quite unpeasant text from the owner (Antonio). I usually refrain from posting not extremely positive reviews, and struggled with posting this one. But now I think it was correct thing to do.

  Very convenient

  Liked: Very clean and very close to different beaches, restaurants and old center. In the night you could hear the waves.

  Disliked: The street is a bit too noisy late in the night or in the morning, from cars, motorcycles and loud voices.
