More like house sitting
Liked: Beautiful location with a stunning view. Unit was spacious.
Disliked: The bed was very small and uncomfortable. The wifi and cellphone reception was non existent and resulted in us having to cut our stay short as we had work obligations that needed our attention. We had to contact the owner as we had problems with hot water. The unit was filled with personal items and full of clutter.
A beautiful historical property in an excellent location with parking
Liked: Staying at this property was a dream come true. I enjoyed this house, which is around 500 years old, and all of its history. The historic walkway down to the beautiful fjord was spectacular—it felt like going back in time. The view of the ocean was wonderful. The unit was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Seeing the ocean through the windows was great. Having parking always available was very important, as I was touring Italy by car. Communication with the host was excellent. I will definitely stay again when I visit the Amalfi Coast next time.
A little secret place in the Amalfi coast
Liked: Very well equipped, it has everything you need. Perfect for anyone that likes isolated holidays, full privacy, a little secret place. A few minutes away from all the main cities on the Amalfi coast. Look even better in site than in the pictures. Luigi was very kind and answered quickly to our messages. Thank you Luigi!
Disliked: The main bed is small and it would be nice to have a more comfortable mattress. Also, please be aware that in order to access the rental you need to go up a few rounds of stairs. So, not appropriate for someone with mobility problems.
Good deal on the Amalfi Coast for the adventurous-minded
Liked: Very nice location far away from the tourist masses. Old traditional house with rustic charme. Very nice sea view from the (small) terrasse. Possible to walk to the beach (nice), but only if you are in good shape (long and steep stairways). Internet worked perfectly. Possibility to watch Netflix on TV, so you don't have to rely on the otherwise 100% Italian-language TV programme. Host is very nice and considerate, communications via WhatsApp worked perfectly. Self check-in no problem.
Disliked: House is a bit difficult to find and you definitely need a car to get there. Not a place for people with difficulties to walk. Many personal things belonging to the owner create a lived-in atmosphere usually not typical for vacation homes. Nothing for perfectionists and cleanliness fanatics.
Overall enjoyed our stay, though would look to stay elsewhere next time we visit
Liked: The location was great
Disliked: When we arrived the bed was not made, and we were asked to strip it on exit which is unusual for booking.com properties. The bed is small for two adults and not very comfortable (very springy). Lots of maintenance required as branches have overgrown, making us sift our way through webs etc to enter/exit the property which was not pleasant. Unsure if it was the cleaners or last guests but the dishes were all very dirty when we arrived. Wifi was down our whole stay which was known by the property owner before we arrived but they did not warn us. This made it very hard to use transport in Amalfi.
