Fabulous
Liked: Great location
Disliked: The entrance smells of dampness
Liked: It was easy to get there from the city centre
Disliked: Very disappointing check-out experience. I was in a rush, and the situation felt unnecessary and uncomfortable.
Because of smell it was terrible and unhygienic
Liked: The location was central. Very close to everything
Disliked: The room presents well and is clean but there is an awful mould and damp smell throughout the entrance and especially the hallway that is unbearable and unhygienic. The hotel reception do not acknowledge it and blame the neighbouring building which isn't the case, it comes from the bottom basement as you enter the stairwell. The smell is so strong walking up the stairs and enters the room on opening the door and is truly terrible. They have a cafe on level 1 and again you can’t sit inside as the smell enters the small room. Imagine having a cake and coffee smelling mould and dampness. Inside the room as you can not leave the air con on when existing, on return the room is hit and has a damp smell again which takes hours to remove slightly with the aircon on full. The safe is not bolted to the wall so you wouldn’t leave anything valuable as it is light and easy to pick up and take with you. It made my experience terrible and made me and family feel sick. This place due to that problem, is somewhere I’d highly recommend not staying.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider returning!
Liked: The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and responded quickly to requests. The room was very clean! The location is convenient to the beach, restaurants, churches, stores, and train stations.
Disliked: The rugs in the halls should be changed. Some doors didn't latch. Safes were not bolted in. The main entrance was shared with other residents/businesses within the same building. Insects in this area could become a concern.
An excellent, comfortable and very well located property
Liked: Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Location was excellent being close not only to the waterfront promenade but also to many shops. Communication with the host was very good and we had no problems accessing the rooms which were very reasonably priced. The hotel also had an agreement with a local garage so we were able to park our car easily. There was a cost but it was reasonable and it meant we didn't have to worry about the rental car. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing.
Lovely stay
Liked: Lovely room. Nicely furnished. Close to restaurants and bars and a few minutes walk to the beach.
