Excellent, modern stay in the heart of Reggio Calabria. Large rooftop deck with view to Sicily

Liked: Wonderful location in the heart of Reggio Calabria. The host and her English-speaking son both met us a check-in. Clean, modern, and spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and very quiet. There is a large, rooftop terrace with a view up and down the main pedestrian street and across the strait to Sicily. Guests have access to a small kitchen space where you can make coffee and tea. We got juice and pastries from a local shop and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace each morning. Host allowed us to check out late so we could leave luggage in room before an afternoon train departure.

Disliked: The only negative was the lack of an elevator. It was a hike up the stairs. But the building was secure and the stairwell was clean and well-lit.

  Find another place!

Disliked: The lady who was there did not speak one word of English. Very poor service. We had to carry our suitcases to the 4 th floor. No help. This is NOT an apartment, it’s a room. The pictures are lying. There is a common area for the rooms. I would not recommend this place!
