Great central location in Rio
Great location but uncomfortable bed

Disliked: Many, many stairs. Host was not very welcoming. Bed was very uncomfortable with old mattress.
Liked: Right in the heart of Riomaggiore. After you go through the tunnel from the train station, this is one of the first buildings. Room was spacious, hot water boiler was available.
Disliked: There are a lot of stairs in the Cinque Terre area. To get to the door of this Affitacamere, there are about 40 narrow steps. As location is central, bring ear plugs and you might still hear the sounds of the town.
Disappointed and sleepless in Rio Maggiori
Liked: The room was clean & comfortable.
Disliked: The room was top floor, lots of stairs! They didn't tell us that there was a shorter way behind the building, but still stairs. They didn't provide shampoo, shower soap and wifi code until we asked for it. They gave us 1 roll of toilet paper until we asked for more. This was not a hotel. It was more like an AirBnb. It was not just steps from the train. It was thru the tunnel and then we faced the 3 flights of stairs with our suitcases. Worst of all was the rowdy bar below us. So hard to get to sleep. They came for payment the next morning.
Great stay for solo traveler hiking through Cinque Terre
Liked: Very clean and spacious room-much larger than I expected! The host was friendly and the location is great, right by the entrance into the town from the train station.
Disliked: Instructions to find the property were not clear and I wandered up far too many steps to finally find it. The lock to get into the property is finicky, and I thought I was locked out one night (get the host to explain the door to you when you first arrive). It is also VERY loud, although you can’t beat the location. Pros and cons- great for actual physical location but the street noise until ~3am and extremely loud glass truck collector ~7am were unpleasant. Bring noise cancelling headphones and you’ll be fine!
