  Great location. Be prepared for the stairs

  Great stay in the center of the village

  Liked: Very cute, small but well equipped, the terrace and view. Comfortable bed, very helpful host.

  Perfect for a short vacation

  Liked: WanderJohn Penthouse was in a great location in the heart of Riomaggiore and close to some fantastic restaurants. What made this a good apartment was the terrace.

  Steep, but stunning stay!

  Liked: Great location with a gorgeous terrace - it was a proper sun trap in the afternoons! The apartment has everything you need for a short stay and overlooks the main street but is quiet at night. Tip: Be sure to ask for your tourist QR code for staying here - it's different to the Cinque Terre Card and gives you unlimited access to the Via dell'Amore and other local perks. We had no idea about it until the lady in the tourist information shop told us.

  Disliked: It would have been nice to have a bit more tourist information in the apartment - details explaining the QR code mentioned above, for example, and leaflets with menus for recommended restaurants and info showing the hiking trails with distances/walking times etc. Also, be aware that the steps up to the penthouse are a killer! We knew about them in advance but on top of how steep the rest of the village is, it's tough going on the old legs... everywhere in Riomaggiore would be the same though. The shower cubicle is also tiny so might be tricky for larger guests.
