Good
Overall we enjoyed our time there
Liked: The room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the sea
Disliked: It was a long walk down a hill and back up again it you wanted to go into Salerno, but saying that there was a nice little town just up the road.
decay
Liked: the staff
Disliked: The hotel’s location offers good views, but the room is abysmal—broken doors, damaged door frames, and windows that don’t fit or close properly; it’s all in a state of decay. The breakfast is terrible—scant and of very, very poor quality. The best part is the staff.
Liked: The location
Disliked: The staff are harsh and not really welcoming
Liked: a nice big room with nice viuew parking places where availible. the bed and shower where great. airco was good, it was just outside Salerno so nore relaxed.
Disliked: the hotel was a labyrinth with elevators. the elevator to the beach was tiny. the breakfast is not as good as we are used to.
Hotel was clean but lacked charm in the room. Needs to be updated. Breakfast buffet was very good and the location was
Liked: Location and breakfast. View from our balcony was beautiful.
Disliked: Hotel was under repair. Workman started hammering at 7:30 AM daily during our visit. Elevators were very confusing.
The location and the views deserve 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service does not
Liked: The strongest points of Lloyd’s Baia Hotel are undeniable: its beachfront location, the beautiful views, and the charming 20th-century style, which was particularly well preserved in the Belvedere Apartment where we stayed. Unfortunately, this is where the 4-star experience ends.
Disliked: The hotel is very old, and in many areas, preserving its original character seems to have become an excuse for a lack of renovation. Much of the furniture, doors, finishes, and general infrastructure are outdated and clearly in need of refurbishment. The organization at reception was disappointing. At times, it felt as though collecting additional charges — particularly for the sunbeds — was a greater priority than taking care of the guests and ensuring a pleasant stay. The beach staff were the most unpleasant surprise: impolite and, on some occasions, even aggressive in their approach. You barely had time to put a bag on a sunbed before being asked to show the receipt proving that it had been paid for. This attitude is simply inappropriate for a hotel presenting itself as a 4-star property. Breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. It was far below what one would expect from a 4-star hotel: exactly the same products every single day, displayed in exactly the same way, with very limited variety. Even when we tried to order something different at an additional cost, the staff seemed unprepared to handle the request, and what we eventually received was still not up to the expected standard. It is a real shame because this hotel has enormous potential. The location, direct access to the sea, views, and unique atmosphere could make it a truly special property. The location and the views deserve 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service does not.
