Terrible
Liked: The host was the worst communicator, rude and all she cares about is the payment. I requested not to move my stuff to the other room without me being there, and she moved them without my permission although I was clear with my instructions.
Disliked: The host was not honest with everything she promised. She communicated poorly and I was very uncomfortable with an overpriced Airbnb that doesn’t deserve even one star!
Perfect stay
Liked: The apartment is located in the old part of town very close to good restaurants, shops and very close to the sea. The space is lot bigger than shown in the photos, kitchenette is equipped with everything you need if you wish to prepare your own breakfast and coffee in the morning. Spacious shower and a complete bonus, a balcony with gorgeous view. The communication with host was very good, I received all the check in instructions in a timely manner. If I ever come back to Salerno, I will definitely stay at Velia34.
Disliked: Nothing at all, everything was perfect.
Liked: Unfortunately, my experience at Villa 34 was very disappointing. From the beginning, I made it very clear to the host that I did not want anyone entering my room or handling/moving my personal belongings. This was especially important to me because I had valuable and personal items with me. I had to extend my stay, but the room I was originally staying in was unavailable for the additional night, so I had to upgrade to another room and pay a higher rate. The host told me that the new room would be ready between 10–11 AM at the latest. Based on that information, I planned my day around moving my belongings to the new room. Unfortunately, the room was not ready as promised. I repeatedly contacted the host to ask when the cleaner would arrive and explained that I could not comfortably leave the property and explore the Amalfi Coast while my belongings were still in the room and I was waiting to move. I was told that the cleaner would come, but when I followed up at around 11 AM because of the delay, the host did not respond until around 1 PM. This resulted in me wasting most of my morning and a significant part of my afternoon waiting for a response and for the room situation to be resolved. At one point, I had to briefly leave to go to the supermarket because I was sick with the flu and needed to buy some necessities. During that short period, the cleaner entered my room and moved my luggage and belongings to the other room, despite my having explicitly told the host that I did not want anyone entering my room or moving my things. What was most upsetting was not simply the delay, but the fact that my clearly communicated request regarding my privacy and belongings was not respected. I paid a higher rate to upgrade to the other room, and I expected basic communication and respect for my privacy.. Instead, I lost a large part of my day waiting and ultimately had my belongings moved without my permission. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

Liked: Great location, easy to find.
Disliked: The A/C did not work well. Although it ran it did not cool down the room to a temperature that was good for sleeping.

Disappointing, noisy and stressful
Liked: Location was nice and central, everything easy to reach. Decor and cleanliness was good.
Disliked: A small room not an apartment as expected, very tight for 3 people. Teenage daughter was put on small camp bed, barely any space between the furniture, not adequate for 3 people. Entry was noisy works going on directly underneath balcony on street below which I know is not in their control but we were not warned about it before or compensated for it. You couldnt even use the balcony or open the window (which was needed due to lack of space) because of the invasive drilling, hammering concrete and works going on directly beneath you everyday from 8am. It didnt make the apartment a pleasant or relaxing place you be. We should have been told this before. Access to the accommodation is unnecessarily complicated. Two different keys to get in main entrance, then lobby plus key card for apartment entrance, then room entrance. If one of you took the card for access to the apartment to go out, you lost electricity as they only give one card for access and electric. We found ourselves locked out once and it was hard to get someone to let us back in as we had to call and message for remote access and wait for someone to get back to us, 20 mins waiting on the landing! Check in is only until 11pm which we hadn't seen initially. Arriving after this time with a late flight is not at all simple! After being chastised for my travel arrangements on whatsapp, they said they could give us remote access after 11pm but again it relies on someone being available to buzz you in. First arrival at the apartment which was late at night due to transport delays, we were not in control of, took over 30 mins waiting in the hallway before someone answered! The cleaning staff dont knock before accessing your room. They walked in on me half naked and my daughter still asleep, very poor. Was offered a discount when I asked for compensation due to the very noisy impactful work but was told only discount would be if I rebooked for another stay there in future.
