  So hospitable, quiet and beautiful

  Liked: Every moment was a delight. This will be a stay that remains in the top memories of vacations for us. It feels like a small neighborhood more than a “hotel.” The views from the terrace are spectacular, especially at sunset. There is a bus stop just a few meters away that provides access to the entire island while still feeling secluded and away from the touristy areas. You can follow a trail down the hill (about half an hour) to walk to a lovely lava beach. Or take the bus to any one of several other beaches. It’s an easy walk to a grocery store to get delicious local ingredients for a nice meal cooked in the decently appointed kitchen. The daily breakfast on the terrace was so special because it included home made juice and jams and yogurt. Eggs could also be ordered, prepared with mint if you want. I’d never had mint in scrambled eggs before but what a treat that was. The owner and staff were so gracious and hospitable, and helped with a couple of taxis we used to get to our ferry home and a night cruise that we didn’t want to chance taking the bus. I will definitely stay here again if we are able to return.

  Disliked: There’s nothing we didn’t like, but anyone booking here should be mindful that taxis are limited and should be booked in advance. Pick this place if you want to feel more like you are in Salina and less like you are in the place tourists stay on Salina.

  Liked: 10/10 An Unforgettable Stay! ​Hands down, this was easily the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Every single detail of the room and common areas was absolutely spotless. On top of that, the hotel's surroundings and the breathtaking views left us completely speechless. ​The true highlight of our visit was the owner, Francesca. She is an exceptionally warm, kind, and hospitable host who made us feel right at home. Every morning, she served incredible, homemade breakfasts that she prepared herself, which were an absolute treat. ​It is a truly amazing place with an unforgettable atmosphere. We couldn't recommend it highly enough - we will definitely be back!

  The BEST and most practical place to stay on the Aeolian Islands. BLISS!

  Liked: We stayed for a week at this lovely place, and absolutely loved it. If you want a base in the Aeolian Islands for a longer stay, then Salina is the best-placed, and for a mixture of peace and quiet and practicality, Leni is just about perfect. Rinella port is well-connected to all the other islands. It's ten mins on the (+/- hourly) bus or 30mins on foot. Think twice before walking up from Rinella though, as it's quite a climb. The amazing views are worth the short distance out of Rinella though, with incredible sunsets, Lipari and Vulcano islands nearby and Filicudi and Alicudi away in the distance. We stayed in the 3bedroom apartment. It's simply decorated, but homely and has everything you need for a medium-length stay. We cooked for ourselves on three nights. It's easy to get ingredients and drink from the nearby (surprisingly well-stocked) shop in Leni, five mins walk away. Francesca the owner was super-welcoming and helpful, and Johanna, who served us the AMAZING home-cooked breakfast, was so kind and warm-hearted. In short, we had a blissful time, and would highly recommend this great place. Further recommendations for Enza car hire next door (don't believe the online stuff about grumpy service, we found them fantastic) and the newly-opened Il Dus restaurant, a five min walk from the hotel, for pizzas and incredible grilled meat. For boat trips, we had a wonderful trip to Stromboli/Panarea with Relax Cruises. And we had a superb boat trip around Filicudi with Giada from Filicudi Experience, after popping over there for the day on the public ferry (which are so easy to book/use). Walking on Salina is fantastic too, and it's easy to find the trailheads to the paths up to the summits of Monte dei Porri and Monte Fossa delle Felci which are both within 20-40mins walk. ENJOY!!!

  Liked: Incredibly clean rooms and friendly hosts who made themselves available for any need and were a wealth of knowledge of the island. Delicious breakfast and beautiful views from the terrace. Leni was quiet and a beautiful location, though there are few eating options within walking distance, transportation is limited and it is a steep walk down to Rinella (beach/town) -not necessarily a negative but important to know for planning purposes.

  Disliked: Beds were hard and the rooms are a bit barebones, sufficient but not the most comfortable. The warm welcome and beautiful views made up for it though!
