Top rating. Wish to come back - both for Galati in itself and for Sicily in general
Liked: Very welcoming host, Enrico, helpful and informative. Beautiful setting in the rolling Sicilian hills even with a seaview. Inviting pool area, too. Apartment excellent and with an adjacent patio with fire place and ample shadow. Points from us at the highest end of the scale - only minus that our holiday there was too short.
Disliked: Nothing!
If a don’t tell you how good it is you might not book it!
Liked: Location,location,location. The villa is on a hilltop overlooking a vast panorama of olive groves,vines and farmland. Its backdrop is of mountains and the sea.
Disliked: Nothing! Perhaps a comfortable chair to sit in the evenings.
A wonderful place to relax — better than we expected!
Liked: If you’re feeling tired and need a real break surrounded by nature, this villa is a great choice. There’s lots of space inside the house and outside in the yard. The pool water was warm in July, and in the evenings we enjoyed sitting in the backyard, watching the full moon and stars, and listening to the crickets. It’s also perfect for kids — they’ll love the open space to play and, of course, the pool. One special thing we really enjoyed was feeding the donkeys in the nearby olive grove😊 The house has air conditioning that cools two rooms very well. If we come back to Sicily, we will definitely stay at this villa again. And Enrico is a great and friendly host!
Disliked: Everything is great, but as for improvements - it would be nice to add some kitchen knives, since there is only one, and maybe a coffee machine

Liked: Casale Gelati is a great location for exploring the southwest coast of Sicily. The area abounds in pittoresk towns and villages, fascinating archeological parks, and, of course, superb beaches. Our host Enrico spoke perfect English, was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us many tips for wonderful day trips (to Agrigento, Trapani, etc.). Thanks to him, we were given a guided tour in English of the medieval Cathedral of Caltabellotta, a mountain town just north of Sciacca. Enrico is by far the most attentive and generous host I have come across on a decade worth of Italian holidays. Grazie mille, Enrico!
Disliked: I love Casale Gelati and have very few complaints. But you do need a car to get to the property. The drive from the main road to the property is not in great shape. It is a dirt track in places, also used by farmers in the neighborhood. My advice would be to arrive in daylight and use Google maps to locate the property. If you slow down sufficiently, then navigating the drive is not a problem. There is a small herd of donkeys (including two foals/fillies) in the fields bordering the property. They are very friendly animals. You will hear them occasionally, along with other animal sounds. It comes with the territory.

Liked: Best value stay we had in 1 month Sicily. Fantastic appartment with everything there, beautiful farm, nice host.
Disliked: The mattress was a bit hard.
