  We loved our stay at Attico Vista Mare and would recommend it to anybody visiting Trapani

  Liked: This property is exceptional. There are fantastic views out over the ocean from the living area as well as the bed. There is a private terrace with views over the fishing port with ample space to relax, entertain or just catch some sun. The property was immaculately presented and decorated in a period style. Luckily there is a lift to the upper apartment. The facilities were functional and clean. The property is very close to the beach, restaurants, bars and all that the old town has to offer. Everything is in walking distance. Our host, John, was on hand to help us settle and provide whatever we needed to be comfortable. We felt at home and very relaxed while we were here and would certainly return when next in Trapani.

  Comfortable, clean and welcoming stay in a beautiful apartment!

  Liked: We had a gorgeous stay in Trapani staying in Johns apartment! John was really accommodating as we arrived late and he stayed up to let us in and show us around the property and also let us have a late check out as our train was later in the day! The apartment itself is beautiful with so much character and was very clean and we had everything we needed. Lovely balcony with views of Trapani architecture and you can see the sea in the distance! Great location for walking to the centre and the ferry port.

  A nightmare

  Liked: Nothing at all. This is a false photo. He gave us an apartment which has nothing to do with the photo shown. After an argument with him he asked us for another 350 euros to give us the apartment shown in photo and promised us to give it to us on the following morning. We trusted him with the money without him giving us the receipt at that time. The following morning he came to clean it and we asked him why he was charging us extra. We argued again and we ended up without him giving us the apartment shown in picture. After a long argument with him without him giving us the place, and the money back we involved the police and he denied in front of them that it was not true we gave him the money. The police couldn't do anything as we did not show them a receipt. They told us that the apartment he gave us was according to the description by booking.com and that we have to take it over with them A real drama. Professional thief

  Liked: The apartment is spacious for a couple, clean and well-appointed. We also had exclusive access to a large, furnished rooftop terrace. The sea views from the apartment and terrace are special and the apartment itself is light and airy. We had everything we could want for our 5 nights in Trapani. John is a friendly and helpful yet un-intrusive host: he assisted us with finding a free car park within easy reach and with our luggage.

  A very enjoyable stay - wish we could have stayed a little longer

  Liked: John, our host, was very friendly and clearly takes great pride in his property. He agreed to meet us early at 2.30pm to give us the keys and even gave us a personal taxi ride to the airport at 4.00am! The highlight of the property is definitely the magnificent, sun-filled roof terrace where we spent many happy hours relaxing. The interior of the property is also very attractive and comfortable, with two windows overlooking the sea, plenty of characterful furniture, a little kitchen and a decent double bed. The property is well placed in the old town of Trapani, very near to a good supermarket and within easy walking distance of a small sandy beach, the port and several excellent restaurants, including Antichi Sapori, Il Grilli and Ai Vicoletta. We only had a few days in Trapani and the first day was very rainy but we had a great time, visiting the magnificent ancient site of Segesta, the mediaeval town of Erice and the beautiful island of Favignana. So, if Ryanair keep offering very cheap flights to Trapani, our advice is to go for it and if you are a couple, you are not going to find somewhere to stay that is better value than Attico Vista Mare....
