Fabulous
A convenient, well-located stay with easy access to buses, shops, and everything we needed
Liked: We chose this accommodation primarily because of the early check-in time (11:00 AM) and its location. It was very convenient to get there by airport bus. Finding the property and collecting the keys was easy, as the host had provided all the necessary information in advance. The local bus stops were also located on the same main street, making it easy to reach the cable car station at the foot of the mountain for a trip up to Erice, or to travel to the port. Bus tickets could conveniently be purchased at a tobacco shop just around the corner. There was an excellent bakery nearby, as well as plenty of grocery stores. Early in the morning, we walked to the bus stop and continued our journey to Palermo by FlixBus.
Great energic apartment but harder with kid due noise. Also more kitchen equipment would be great
Liked: Space, light, energic.
Disliked: Noise was extreme from the street, sometimes neighbors played loud music - with a little kid a problem.
Good
Liked: We stayed here for one night before travelling to the airport. At first, we went to the wrong location, but we contacted the owner and received a quick response and helpful directions, so we were eventually able to find the correct place. Communication with the owner was fast and efficient throughout. When we arrived, the room was still being cleaned, so we waited for approximately 30 minutes before checking in. The room itself was very spacious, which we really appreciated. The floor was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the sheets and basic bedding appeared clean and fresh. The sofa bed was acceptable and worked well enough as an additional bed, especially for a child, although one end of it sank slightly. The air conditioning worked very well and was extremely important during the hot weather. The room lighting was generally fine. One bathroom light switched off automatically after a while, but fortunately there was another light that stayed on, which was useful when taking a shower. The location was excellent for us and it was easy to reach the places we needed. Considering that we only needed accommodation for one night, the price was also excellent value. Overall, the large room, convenient location, effective air conditioning and quick communication with the owner were the strongest points of our stay.
Disliked: Although the main bedding was clean and fresh, there were old woollen blankets on both the main bed and the sofa bed that had a strong unpleasant smell and did not seem freshly washed. There were also several older woollen blankets stored inside the wardrobe that had the same problem. In my opinion, these should either be professionally cleaned regularly or simply replaced. The wardrobe itself also had a strong stale, unpleasant smell when we opened it and could have been cleaned and aired more thoroughly. Another difficulty was charging our electronic devices. Many of the electrical sockets were older Italian Type L sockets, which we had not expected, and only one or two sockets in the room worked with the chargers we had brought. Providing a simple adapter/converter for international guests would be a very useful addition. The television was quite old and did not offer smart TV functions or the possibility to connect a phone to use YouTube or other apps. This was particularly noticeable for us as a family travelling with a child, although it was manageable for one night. Sound insulation could also be better. We could clearly hear people arriving and leaving, doors closing, other room doors opening and even balcony doors. Fortunately, this was only a short stay for us. There were water shortages in Trapani during our stay, so we also had to be careful with our water consumption. I understand that this was a local issue rather than something caused by the accommodation. Finally, I felt that the photos gave a somewhat different impression of the room. In the pictures, the room appeared newer and more modern than it felt in person. The room was perfectly usable, but I would have preferred the photos to represent its current condition more realistically, as this would help guests know exactly what to expect before arriving.
Liked: Nice place! Big and clean 👍 Friendly staff 🙌🏼
Great stay right on the border of the old town beach claose and easy parking
Liked: The location is perfect especially if you have a car the church you are right outside the old town area so parking is super easy. Also, owner is very very nice. Very accommodating. Immediately responded to any question that we had and made sure that our stay was great. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Thanks again!!
Disliked: Nothing. All was great.
The room is nice and clean. However, it has been our worst night in Sicily. Very strong cleaning detergents were used in
Liked: Location
Disliked: Noise, incredible cleaning product smell didn’t allow us to sleep
