  Bigger town than expected

  Liked: Location to Bar street & port area.Walk to beach ok

  All in all, ok

  Liked: The location is really excellent, close to the sea. it's really what it says on the site.

  Disliked: There is no faucet in the yard to wash the feet at least. Otherwise you will enter sand from the beach in your room. In the beginning, we used the faucet of a neighbor who works in ceramics, but he started to complain about how the floor in the yard wet it was, so we stopped. I mean, it's wet from the water, but ok.

  Disliked: I am Disabled person the place it is very uncomfortable to many steps I asked for for a piece of wood and he refused to help me take the money and never see him again the room smells molded I have to sleep with toilet fan on very uncomfortable not recommended for any one sorry 😅

  Great location

  Liked: The city is the most fantastic first stop in Sicily! Highly recommend. Our stay was fine. The room was exactly what we expected, clean and in a good location. The gentleman who received us allowed a late check-in for which we are very grateful.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, our flight was delayed. This obviously had the knock-on effect on our arrival time. A late check-in had already been agreed based on the original landing time. Having travelled from Australia, we had a problem with our roaming, and so we did not have a working telephone, which ended up very problematic. The contact they had was for my aunt, who lives in Treviso, and boy did they call her... A lot. She ended up with an angry Italian who expected her to fix something that was beyond anyone's control. By the time the taxi dropped us off and on not finding anyone at the property, we went in search of a hotspot, and that is when the gentleman arrived and called my aunt again. This time it was 0100, and understandably, he was a bit grumpy; what was not acceptable was that he took that out on my aunt and was rude to us on our arrival. People do not have any control over delayed flights; it is frustrating for everyone involved, and whilst we appreciate the kindness of him getting out of bed to let us in, we would have thought this was something he would be used to. My advice is if you have a late flight, maybe stay in another property. Sadly, the lasting impression was of a grumpy host, especially as the property ticked all the other boxes.

  Great authentic Italian stay suitable as a base for a few nights - everything you need!

  Liked: Great location, couldn’t be any better to access everything! Great shower, clean and all bedding/ towels you could need. Air conditioning and fridge worked well. Host went out of his way to stay late for our arrival and explain/ demonstrate how everything worked ( even tho we couldn’t speak Italian)

  Disliked: A little noisy but fine if you kept the bathroom door shut- a slight smell during the day in the bathroom during the day when hot but we were out all day so didnt bother us and nothing as bad as reviews led us to believe
