  Perfect place to stay while exploring Tropea and Parghelia

  Liked: Hotel Tirreno exceeded all expectations. The food was great, the staff was always kind and extra helpful, and the location was perfect. The hotel was always clean as well as the beautiful pool and dining areas. The shuttles are an important feature that always worked with our plans.   Overall this hotel has a lot to offer and the location is perfect for exploring Tropea and the rest of the coast

  Liked: The hotel is perfectly situated only a few minutes from Tropea and some rooms offer a sea view. It has ample secure parking but the hotel also offered a free shuttle service to Tropea throughout the evening. There is also a beautiful pool and bar well as their own beach club with loungers on a sandy beach with crystal clear water. Breakfast was also very plentiful and delicious.

  Disliked: The first room we were offered was very dark and dingy with a weird smell and when we complained we were offered a larger room with a balcony and sea view for an additional €30 per night. We were too tired to argue after a long drive feom Sicily so we accepted the room although it wasn’t one of their updated rooms.

  Marvellous Hotel Tirreno

  Liked: We came here in May 2025 and loved it so much that we returned this year. Hotel Tirreno is a lovely traditional Italian hotel. We stayed in a room with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel is kept immaculately and run very efficiently. The reception staff speak good English and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is traditional Italian and after breakfast each morning we enjoyed looking at that evening's menu and choosing what we would like to eat. Very helpfully you can order half portions or even ask for more if you wish. The food was delicious! The pool outside is beautiful and a good size with plenty of loungers complete with their own sunshades and there is also a bar offering snacks and drinks. The view from here, across to Tropea and Stromboli is stunning. There is a minibus service running to the beach or you can walk there in 10 minutes (a bit longer on the way back as it's uphill). The hotel has its own area of beach with lounges and lifeguard.
