  Adorable flat, great location, super host!

  Liked: After a freak accident in the Dolomites derailed my plans to do some serious walking in Spain, I decided to spend a few days in 5Terre for some Dolce far Niente —and was so fortunate to find this adorable place! The best part is the host Franco, who is a true gem. He met me at the station, carried my heavy pack, and not only had he cleaned the place but he had stocked it with provisions! I have stayed in many flats/ rooms in 5Terre over the decades and have never encountered such wonderful hospitality. He also advised me on some hikes and interesting outings from a local’s point of view that I will save for next time. Before staying here, I had skimmed thru the reviews and would like to offer my 2c worth. The train noise is distant and not bothersome- more like distant thunder. I found it soothing. The apt is in the heart of the town, above a restaurant and yes, ppl get lively here! It’s part of the charm. But for someone who needs peace and quiet in the evening, this wouldn’t be a good fit.

  Recommend this apartment for short stays

  Liked: The proximity to the train station was fabulous. Right in the heart of Vernazza, walking to lovely restaurants and bars.

  Disliked: Apartment was warm, there is a fan, but a/c would be brilliant. There is a steep set of stairs getting into the apartment.. thank goodness the hubby lugged the suitcases.

  Central location, lively town, very touristy, although early October

  Liked: Our train was arriving a little later than the usual check-in window, so the host arranged for his partner to greet us at the station and take us to the rooms. Central location; excellent restaurants downstairs and nearby. Washing machine nice to have and clothesline out the window was fun. Our host was very responsive.

  Disliked: Noisy for us, but not unexpected.

  Liked: Really good location. 1 min to the station, 3 mins to the beach. Franco is a nice person, trying to help you when you need something (however he is usually busy and might answer your mesaages late).

  Disliked: This place has a great potential but needs a little touch. It should have been cleaner. Some shelves were a bit dusty. The fans were really dirty, so we couldn’t use them. Shower was clogged. No mosquito nets on the windows, or any plug-in repellents. Some of the kitchenware were not good to use.

  Location good

  Liked: Location. Host met us when we arrived and went over vernazza with us. Cafe at the bottom was good.

  Disliked: Hard bed. The sofa that turns into a bed was noisy, small & only good for a small child. Messaged the host during our stay to help with the washing machine but never heard back. Was hot - 2 fans definitely helped.
