Very good
Exceptional service and epic location
Liked: I absolutely loved this stay, in particular the overwhelmingly helpful service of Armando who was perhaps the best concierge I’ve ever met - truly next level care and attention to detail from him! The room was great with a nice old school luxury feel to it with everything close by including easy parking at the port (make sure you come early so you get a spot - it gets busy after 9pm). The breakfast was also pretty good with a good selection of cakes and a nice omelette section.
Disliked: No notes - it was awesome.
Great location right by old town with its own parking
Liked: Old hotel with some nice features. Comfortable room with good bathroom but shower always lets these places down. Secure underground parking for my motorcycle at the hotel.
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Liked: Incredibly helpful staff. Location excellent
Disliked: Nothing

Could do better
Liked: There was no welcome when we arrived at the Hotel. We were told of many things we could not do. We had not booked breakfast and they were unable to provide breakfast. We had a 5 night stay at a 4 star hotel and they were unable to provide breakfast - this is a first in 45 years of international travel. When we were shown to the room we were told NOT to use the jacuzzi bath. Further the hotel car park we were told would be €15 / night. During the stay I reviewed the conditions of our booking and found the car park was €10 / night - they reluctantly agreed. on check out, to the revised price when I showed the condition. Further the conditions stated they are multilingual (English, Italian, French) - if using a telephone app to translate counts as multilingual, then yes. Further the conditions stated that front desk is 24 hours - we can only speak for the daytime and it was never fully manned. Walking into reception was at times like the Marie Celeste.
