    Liked: location

Disliked: Hard to find, the hotel does not have a visitable sign. Receptionist was nice but could not speak English, could not understand what she said about parking.

    Excellent location and facilities

Liked: Excellent location right in the middle of all the hubbub! The room and bathroom were very clean with plenty of space and the room was equipped with AC and a kitchen including a microwave, mini fridge, and stove!

Disliked: It was fantastic! The staff were not there until 1.5 hours after my arrival, but they allowed me to enter my room before they arrived, so it wasn’t a problem.

Any problems with the room will be YOUR problems, not theirs

Liked: The location is excellent, close to Plaza Mayor and loaded with bars and restaurants that are hopping at the peak times (2-4pm and 8-11pm). In spanish you'd say tiene un ambientazo.

Disliked: I was careful to book lodgings with air conditioning, because Spain in August, duh! My room was a fourth floor attic room - no problem, with the AC working of course. But then it died, and the last day (and night before) was a sweaty mess even with the fan they lent me. I didn't get what I paid for, so some kind of discount seems appropriate, right? When I made what I thought was a reasonable proposal to the manager via Whatsapp I was ignored. Hours later I happened to bump into her in the lobby, and she absolutely refused to concede anything, nor would she provide the owner's contact info after she claimed she was "unable to do anything else." She came up to the room to check things out and told me "It's not that hot." That's not the point - I purchased a room with air conditioning and only got that for part of my stay. Apparently there were a few other rooms in the same situation... seems like the owner, whoever s/he is, does a poor job of maintaining his/her property. You would think they'd have had a thorough maintenance done on the air conditioning units before the hottest months of the year, but I guess you make a few more euros waiting for guests to complain then keeping their money anyway. Forewarned is forearmed - if you decide to stay here, keep in mind any problems with your stay will be YOUR problems, not theirs.

Liked: It was conveniently located to the center and I felt the building was very secure.

Disliked: They told me, in writing, that I would receive a double bed. Instead I was given a twin bed and the person checking me in kept saying she didn’t know anything about it. There wasn’t any hand soap in the bathroom. And the soap for the shower was one bottle and you could see where two different solutions had been put into it as one was clear and one was a cream. There was also hair in the shower and lip smudges on the glassware. I didn’t use the kitchen. It’s also very very noisy as it’s just above from a busy street of bars.
