Fabulous
Liked: Overall apartment, check in very easy, location.
Disliked: AC is outside the bedrooms so it can be hot at night.
Good management + great location
Liked: This place has everything you need - a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable common area and two bedrooms. The management is incredibly helpful and when the washing machine broke, they literally had somebody come to try to fix it and then they did my laundry for me and delivered it the next morning. It was really really thoughtful and the cherry on top to otherwise great place. It’s also perfectly located in old town.
Communicative host regarding arrival but poor maintenance in the apartment
Liked: The apartment is well-situated in the old town. Lighting fixtures work so that all rooms are well illuminated at night. Wifi mostly works. Great to have a washing machine, but see negatives for details. Main bed is comfortable but one long pillow for both sleepers is unusual for foreigners. The location on the 4th floor was a good cardio workout for us.
Disliked: The doorways between rooms have very low clearance, so it's a problem for anyone who is medium-tall or above. You have to remember to keep your head way down when you walk between rooms. Of course, it’s an old building, but the apartment has been renovated. Could they not have fixed this? The renovation was done on the cheap. Some of the cabinet doors nearly fall off when you open them. Some cabinet shelves are unattached at one end. The shower cabinet leaks and the shower drain clogs up. The window screens are in tatters and don’t lift or lower properly. The windows are dirty. The toilet flush “button” is loose. In the kitchen, there are 4 pots/pans but only one (large) lid. No laundry powder or liquid provided, and no drying rack for hanging clothes after laundering. You get accustomed to or work around these issues after a couple of days, but maintenance is poor.
A little medieval gem with 21st century comfort
Liked: Amazing location right in the heart of the old town about 200 m from Cuenca cathedral. All main attractions reachable in a few minutes walk. Charming original apartment in one of the historic houses but perfectly equipped with modern amenities. Well designed interior with pleasant colour coordinated pillows and cute bed lamps. Attentive host provided a cute welcome kit with gourmet coffee and delicious local specialty sweets Pristine clean bedding and towels. Comfy living room sofa
Disliked: Hot water for was not enough if all guests want to take a shower in the morning ( we were 3, had to allow for about 15 minutes between showers ) - but definitely not a big issue if guests are aware and schedule accordingly
