Liked: The owner was also the care taker and baked us a cake for breakfast each day. The value for money of this property is really good. It is simple, but has everything and the location is really good.

Liked: A very nice, clean and comfortable room with air conditioning. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Spoke English. The location was at the edge of town, but walking distance to a market or tobacco shop. Breakfast was very nice.
Disliked: Parking was extremely difficult on the street. But parking was extra and located next-door at an apartment complex. However, the garage was very small and only possible for compact automobiles. I almost didn't get out. I would recommend a private refrigerator for each room for keeping the customers drinks cool. No restaurants in the area or within walking distance. The place was a bit pricey for a hostel.

Liked: Very good place to use as a base for exploring Cuenca. The hostal is well run, staff helpful, room was nice.
Disliked: Breakfast was good and service excellent, but would have liked a few more more options.
