Very good
I was very comfortable here. The location was great and the cost was very reasonable
Liked: I very much appreciated that one staff member was able to speak enough English to help me get situated in my room. She was very kind, as were the other staff members who did not speak English.
Disliked: I had hoped to eat dinner at the hotel, but when I arrived back at the hotel in the evening, it was closed (I think without any prior notice). I was tired and needed to find a different place to eat. Also, I needed to leave early the next morning, and did not know how to check out or where to leave my key. I just left the key in the room and hoped that was OK.
Perfect Place to Stay
Liked: The location of this property was perfect and a walking distance from the town center and several main attractions in cuenca. The room was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. Even though it was hot outside the room stayed cool. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to cuenca.
Liked: The best bed we've had so far on our the weeks in Europe. Great location, walk to bus station and all of old city.
Disliked: Nothing only what you need. Great restaraunt on the premise.
Liked: The setting was fantastic. The hotel was easy to find and right next to the river at the foot of the old town. We didn't eat in the restaurant but hope to next time and we'll book in advance.
Disliked: Unfortunately the people in the next room got accidentally locked in their room so it was very noisy on the Sunday morning for over an hour and a half as they tried to get help and a locksmith drilled out the lock. This, I imagine, was a one off.
Not great do not recomend
Liked: It was a room in a good location
Disliked: There was a plastic sheet on my double bed! an actual plastic sheet from potty training in the 1970s, rustling and hot 104 degree heat. The ones with toweling on one side and plastic from plastic bags on the other, bad show. The under the bed was filthy dusty and full of crud, as were the edges of the room. No tea or coffee facilities a normal thing these days, if I had known I would have brought a kettle, I have not need to do this since the 1990s. When I moved the lamp on my bedside table it was held down with dirt pretty gross. The view was a wall overlooking the yard, which had a noisy unit in it so I could not have my window open at night as it was noisy and smelly. No bath plug in the tub or sink. I have just stayed in three places in Spain and loved them. This was the sort of accommodation I had stayed in on a Greek island in 1991 at a fraction of the cost. Finally, I asked twice for an Iron to Iron an outfit that was creased, was told it was coming, nope it did not.
