Fabulous
Too expensive for what it is
Liked: This hostel is located on the Camino de Madrid
Disliked: Sleep disturbed by existing and new guests arriving in dorm room very late. Shared sleeping rooms should be lights out at 10pm and no new guests after 10 pm. Shared bathroom needs a floor mop. Poorly equipped shared eating area - microwave but no sink or water. Not very clean or well maintained. Electrical work in progress in common areas - loose wires exposed. Washing machines but no drying rack or line provided. Generally needs more management attention and is just too overpriced for bunkroom accommodation.
The small room
Liked: The staff (of the restaurant) were nice and they serve good food, the location is excellent and the room was clean.
Disliked: There was no way to cool the room which was poorly ventilated and had no cooling/fan - which meant the door and widows had to be left open all night, the surroundings were very noisy and the automatic light in the corridor meant no one (sleeping in the room for 4) could sleep for most of the night. Several electrical sockets are broken down which meant even we eventually got a portable fan it couldnt be connected in an effective location. There are broken sockets both in the room and in the lounge which are also an electrical safety hazard and need dealing with. I believe the other room actually had an airconditiong unit but it didnt seem to work.

Liked: old building new hostel room quiet food good.clean window in room please. what is the history of building. perhaps time to remove old magazines and books. replace and clean stains on floor. Laundry?

Disliked: No fan or A/C getting hot at nighttime.
Good stay but very basic
Liked: Very friendly staff, the bar restaurant is excellent.
Disliked: The hostal is a little rundown.
