  Liked: It was our second stay in Medinaceli though the first at this hotel. It was not quite as easy to locate as I had imagined but it is a very small town and the search was nonetheless short and we were able to park just outside. Reception was efficient and the room fine albeit rather small. But there were problems with the window which, once opened, would not close either for us or for the chap at reception. We were thus moved to an adjoining room which was in fact larger and with a spa bath - and more expensive though we were not charged any more. The area outside looked attractive but the weather was not such as to allow us to make use of it. We were in Medinaceli on a Wednesday and this proved to be unfortunate with virtually all local restaurants closed. But not the fault of LaS Retajas! Excellent service at breakfast. A good value stop-over.

  Liked: Exceptional stay in a lovely and charming posada. Super well located for the amenities but separate enough to sleep well if there is any event in the village.

  Great stay in a very nice village

  Liked: Location is greta, very nice terrace and efficient and helpful staff.

  One night stop in this lovely town

  Liked: Beautiful old building with many old features showing the history of this medieval town. The bed was really comfortable and we slept sooo well. Lovely bathroom with everything we needed. There was a smart TV in the room so we could watch Netflix while rain stopped play outside. The staff were lovely and on hand at all times. There were several communal places to hang out and read the history books provided. In the hotel basement, the ancient aljibi (rain water tank) for the original house has been revealed so you can walk inside and see how they were constructed. Very interesting.

  Disliked: One tiny thing. We were expecting the continental breakfast but were disappointed with the cold meats provided. They were of the cheap supermarket plastic packed budget types with probably a low percentage of actual ham in there 😫
